Yes there is a big difference in attitudes.
At 65 i was dating a woman who was 75 and the comments among some of my friends was, he is with her because he cannot pull any young ones anymore.

My latest back in last August was a young Chinese girl 27, the comments then was she only wants him for his money, the old fool. Both were absolutely wrong. The young one is now back in China, but still in touch on a regular basis on the internet.

I’m a single woman who is in her mid 40s but who is frequently invited on dates by guys who are in their 20s. This is such a compliment as they usually guess that I’m around 30. I have a problem in that I’m often attracted to them too. The only thing is, my judgement tells me that they are only out for the sexual experience and once they ask me my age, I often loose confidence. I have this idea, even though it seems a bit prejudiced, that younger guys will want to meet ‘the mother of thier children’ in the woman of their life. Men out there, please talk to me and advise me on this one. Are you all (when in your 20’s) interested in the sexual experience when you want to date an older woman or can it really be a stable, long term, real love relationship. Because, this is what I want. (I’ve never been married and have no kids).

They are only interested in yes, that. Also, those men are attracted to older women because they are way less dramatic, less complicated that an averghae 20 year old womanm and financially stable enough to buy their own drinks. Mature women will not to nag about football, valentine’s day etc. and are uncomplicated, fun and confident.

Men will not persue, however, a deeper relationship other than deep admiration and causal and awesome dates/ s ex. They will not bring you home to their mothers and they will not fantasize to have children with you.

Have fun with them, but please, do not get hurt as your expectations may exceed theirs. If you want to get serious with someone, you will not find that on a young party gigolo.

I’m sure there is a stigma to this and for the most part. Some people who are not familiar with either individual of the couple can be very judgmental, but generally not in an overt way. I could have been just his dad or uncle or friend, and this would be the most common assumption.

-You know in your heart what needs to be done, whether you’re going to break up, get back together, or start dating a guy. You know that if he cheated with you (or your friend or someone you know) on his previous girlfriend, he will do it to you.

-If he’s willing to sleep with you on the first date or soon after, and has no problems or hesitations with it, he may well have done that with other women, no matter what he says.

-If he insists on going out with guys all the time, and ignoring you except when you insist upon seeing him, he’s probably not interested in you.

-If you husband or boyfriend is abusive, especially physically, first get out! Nobody deserves it, and you are better than that. If he wants you back, demand counseling before moving back.

Good advice….it’s just something that a lot of us don’t want to admit to or come to terms with. When the heart gets involved, ahhh…that’s another story indeed. I wish more guys could be as sure of themselves and strong as you apparently are….it’s so sad because relationships just shouldn’t be this hard…and in all reality…WE are the ones who make them that way.
