If he likes me so much then why does he still use his online dating account?
I met this guy off a dating website and we’ve been hanging out for 3 weeks now. We get along pretty well and we always have a great time together.
He still occasionally signs into his dating profile.
Don’t you think that if he liked me so much he would stop using it??
Serious guys stick to one and show no interest to other girls/ women….
Some guys take their relationship seriously and some don’t…..
If he still uses his on-line dating account, it means he’s open-minded of new relationship…..
You have to be wise and optimistic…..

Why is women’s violence so Overlooked in our society?
In the video it is basically anti-male I’m sorry but that’s how I see it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp1-ncU2ilY&feature=player_embedded
But in the West women’s violence is rising DV and girl on girl are rising and dating violence is 50/50.
But why are men always called the “violent ones” by alot of feminists, like violence against women is bad (which it is) but when women are violent to cghildren or men the same female activist who are trying to condemn VAW make excuses for women being like, he must have provoked her etc…
Doube standard?
The bottom line is that there are more violent deaths in women by the hands of their boyfriend/husband, than there are violent deaths against women by another woman, or men by women.
A PBS special I was watching a couple of weeks ago did have a man that had been in an abusive relationship call in. A lot of organizations are recognizing the need for an Act Against Violence [in general]…not based on gender.

Have any of you in an interracial relationship experienced violence reactions b/c of it?
I can’t help but notice that the world’s views on interracial dating are changing. Yay! I am black and several of my cousins have interracial marriages. I’m so proud of my family, whether they had married within our race (black) or another race i think it really says something about how we have progressed. I’m just glad they are happy.
Anyways the threat of violence and hearing/reading stories about violent beatdowns and nasty comments directed at these couples while walking down the street leave me outraged! My female cousin and her (Caucasian) husband travel a lot and they STILL get the comments and the stares. but none of them have encountered violence. that would not stop me from marrying interracially if the man i love just happens to be anything other than black. i deserve to be happy.
So i wanted to know what you other interracial couples have experienced as far as stares, comments, and violence towards you?
I am white. My lady is black. We have been together for quite some time now. Although we live in the south, the city we live in is quite diverse and we have never had any real problems, other than an occasional stare. Interracial couples are quite common in our neck of the woods.
The closest we came to violence was one evening when we were coming out of an eatery, some good old boys in a truck drove by and yelled “n. . . . lover!’ at me. Since my lady and I are both veterans able to take care of ourselves, I (ahem) politely invited them to return for further discussion of our relationship. They withdrew in great haste.
I was thankful that I didn’t have to explain to the cops how my sweet lady had broken a couple of rednecks into small pieces and spread them around a parking lot.
Other than that, we have never had any problems.

Should schools teach how to avoid and prevent dating violence?
For the record, I’m not aware of any school in Canada that takes such an approach. Naturally it would be a controversial topic. Is it possible and worthwhile to put it on the curriculum? Say, in the form of one or two special lectures per year, to be delivered by experts such as cops, judges, social workers, school counsellors, etc., and aimed at informing the kids about warning signs of potential violence and how they can protect themselves (both females and males).
Ideas, anyone?
My high school (in Canada) offered a short self-defense class outside of the regular school curriculum that covered those topics briefly. Only about 20 out of 900 kids actually attended, though. (I went because my parents said they would be more comfortable about me being out at all hours roaming the streets if I went.) I could see it fitting into grade 9 health class or gym class or something.
If it were up to me to design such a curriculum, I think I would include a section that tries to teach kids to recognize verbal and emotional abuse (which often precedes physical violence in long term relationships anyway.)
