The 1956 Noble prize was for accurately dating samples from Egyptian tombs that had known ages. As far as I know, no similar study exists that shows it as anything but right on. The test method has only gotten better since then.

It would be pretty simple to show that it was missing dates.

None that I know of, but one has to remember that every date has a 95% confidence interval around it, so two tests may give different dates within those confidence limits. Also, radiocarbon dating has to be done correctly. Scientists can generally tell when circumstances are going to produce decreased accuracy, however, and multiple dating tests are often used to corroborate one another.

Response: They often have an idea based on evidence, not assumptions. They can get ten different answers, but if the tests are correctly run, then all are likely to be within the recognized confidence limits of the dating method. Those confidence limits are quite precise.

Websites prevent you from doing this for your own safety. It is also to save their own asses. So if you’ve been communicating with someone you’d like to get to know better, exchange numbers this way.

You should be happy these rules are in place. If you just posted your number fr any old person to call, you’d be bombarded with prank calls, nasty calls, and calls from people whom are simply a waste of your time.

Legally, it also prevents their sites from being used as a “service” board, whether it’s for sex or to do your laundry. You should be happy there are protective devices to help you.

I like the singles and dating section, I think there’s some interesting questions and I like offering advice to people however I’ve started avoiding the section because people rant for like 50 paragraphs.

You know you’re right! I too like to answer the single and dating section, but there are some with long paragraphs and they can’t seem to get to the point. Though there are some really interesting questions out there. Then again I see at least 20 questions that ask “does he like me”? or “How can I get him to like me”?
