I read a psychology study on speed dating that men wanted medium-height (not short/not tall), thin women
and women wanted tall, medium (not skinny/not stocky)-muscular men.
I wanted to see how true it is - or if women prefer slim or average height men, of if men prefer petite or thick women.

Dating vs. Courtship?

Okay so I know that a lot of ppl out there might not have the same views as I do but I would like your opinion on something. I as a christian believe in courtship vs dating. I think that responsibilities and views that courtship puts forth allow young ppl and those who are ready to be married to make wise decisions based on pure love as opposed to the sexual clutter of this world. I would like to know your opinion on it as to why you see that courtship is either a plus or a negative in your opinion. I realize that some ppl cringe at the thought of this subject but I would love some honest answers and feedback as to why you feel the way you do. Thank you for all your help, this will be aiding me in a speech I am to be giving to my fellow peers @ my high school. God Bless!

I LOVE THE IDEA!!! I just don’t like the way you view courtship because pure love isn’t something people understand. We have an ignorant view of how love is, to the point that we actually make it a fantasy, ever heard of romance? Yep its a fantasy, realize romance can’t be love, but love can be romance, if that wasn’t true we wouldn’t have a divorce rate. That all aside, loving is a baby step, I can love everything, easily by just feeling for it. The real test of “true love”, not pure, I hate that phrase…..is the ability to know HOW to love, inorder to bring forth THAT into your relationship you most have compassion, passion, understanding, trust, and honesty (I like that one;-). So really courtship is a wonderful idea, but it can hurt the love, by making the individuals think to much about the eventuality of the relaitonship, that EVENTUALLY you’d get married, and EVENTUALLY you’ll have sex, which are goals that get in way of the others, passion, compassion, understanding, etc, etc. Really I think people should go thru a friendship period, if they can do what it takes to make that work, to me thats the courtship, and EVENTUALLY, because of the passion, compassion, understanding, trust, and honesty, marriage, kids, sex just happens. But I think you’ve got the right idea, just society hasn’t given you the right perceptions of what it really takes to know HOW to love we figure thats just a given, darn us…. so good going smartie, your going to make a wonderful spouse!!

Why has Y A not updated the Top Answerer statistics since July 2008? How can we get them to address this?

Why do they continue to have that “Top Answerer” section at the top o the page if they are not going to update the info? The info is way out of date and if they do not intend to put correct info there, why put old, inaccurate info there?

I have to agree with you.
Statistics is one area that does not appear to be a priority for Yahoo.

The only thing I can suggest is visiting the Forum and leaving a suggestion.
Staff will make a comment if it gets enough attention.
But I also know this has been asked before on more than one occasion!
