i met this guy on facebook and we have been chatting for 31/2 months. we exchanged numbers and txt here and there also. but never talk on the phone. I feel I grew feelings for him,and he refered to me as his special friend and we both admitted to liking eachother. but two major problems, one…we live across the country from eachother, and two…i had a couple martinis this past weekend and txt him crazy stuff about how much i like him and how confused i am and that i wish we had the same time zone,he replied that i was being crazy that day and i think too much and i have othr things to be worrying about besides an internet boy.i apologized the next day in a txt and he never responded. this was three days ago. How serious can 3 months of chatting get or be? cause i grew feelings and blew it and now i just dont know what to do, any advice?

THAT GUY IS ME! JK… Got you there, didn’t I? From a personal experience, i’m honestly going to tell you to stay away from long distance relationship in general. I’ve been there, done that, and I’ve been cheated. So why do you have to go through same thing? Why do you have to learn the hard way? If doesn’t sound very logical to do it, don’t do it.

actually, my best friend did meet her husband online. myspace to be exact. i know many people thiing this is odd, some people may even say creepy, but..the truth be told, people meet people in odd places all the time, so really..is there a difference if you meet someone online? not really…if when you meet the person you feel completely comfortable, love being with them, they like you for you, and overall are just incredibly happy, i’d consider yourself lucky that fate took its course for you. there is no right or wrong way to meet someone and fall in love. afterall, the initial meeting is not as important as the bond you make overtime. sometimes online is the best way to meet someone because you can get to know them in a completely different manner than the good ole fashion bump into someone. you can talk to one another often online and get to know eachother quicker…plus, it helps to know someones interests before you get yourself into situations.

How long before meeting someone from online dating site?

I’ve read an article that it is best to meet quickly when it comes to online dating. Don’t spend too much time emailing or IMing. Get to the phone conversation as fast as possible because if you think about it, the phone call is the best indicator of how your face to face conversation is going to be like; you will eventually have to talk on the phone anyways, might as well find out quick if you can have a conversation with them, instead of investing months of emailing just to find out you don’t click over the phone. Furthermore, emailing and IMing for a long time causes the other person to make their own assumption or raise expectations of you. I think the first phone call should be within a week of first email introduction. Do you agree or not?

Photos are important without seeing that person i would never date them. Second what they are doing for a living etc, but I wish there was some way you could 100% sure the person is telling the truth, about their job, age etc.
