I was watching a show where they say Age isnt nothing but a Number…. now whe a older guy date a younger women do you thing she dating him for the simple fact that shes looking for a father figure/ Do you thing hes dating her because he has control issues? Do you guys know any couple who have last a long time and the wife is waaaay younger than the husband? What do you guys think about a younger man dating a older women?

I am 16 years younger than my husband and we both look our age. However, I don’t see the age difference at all - there are no father issues or anything - we just fell in love. We do argue like any other couple and we make up like any other couple. My husband has way less control issues than any of my ex boyfriends who were my age. I guess he had all the experience before he met me and doesn’t need to fight it anymore. And I don’t need to teach him anything about life and relationships.
We;ve been together for 6 years, married 4 and so far I have nothing to complain.

I really don’t think it is the age that matters - it is personalities.

Yes there is a big difference in attitudes.
At 65 i was dating a woman who was 75 and the comments among some of my friends was, he is with her because he cannot pull any young ones anymore.

They are only interested in yes, that. Also, those men are attracted to older women because they are way less dramatic, less complicated that an averghae 20 year old womanm and financially stable enough to buy their own drinks. Mature women will not to nag about football, valentine’s day etc. and are uncomplicated, fun and confident.

Men will not persue, however, a deeper relationship other than deep admiration and causal and awesome dates/ s ex. They will not bring you home to their mothers and they will not fantasize to have children with you.

Have fun with them, but please, do not get hurt as your expectations may exceed theirs. If you want to get serious with someone, you will not find that on a young party gigolo.

I was talking to one guy who is about 9 years my senior. He cut me off without a reason and we didn’t speak for about three months. I called him out of the blue to talk. I like your question because it involves me personally. I’m an older gay guy who is only attracted to younger men. I recently ended a beautiful relationship with a guy I still love very much. He was 20 years my junior, but all my friends (gay and straight) respected and accepted us as a couple. We were together for three years.

I’m sure there is a stigma to this and for the most part. Some people who are not familiar with either individual of the couple can be very judgmental, but generally not in an overt way. But yeah, we used to get the looks of disgust. On the other hand… as long as we are not putting on a public display of affection, most people would not recognize us as a gay couple. I could have been just his dad or uncle or friend, and this would be the most common assumption.

I realize many responders will say that age preference for dating most likely isn’t dependent on ethnicity but I disagree. I love all races but in my experience Japanese women tend to be more open to dating younger men. So for example, a 35-40 year old Japanese woman dating a 25 year old male.

If it’s true, I don’t think it’s because they’re open minded, but it’s because in Japanese culture, they value youth. A 50 yrs old guy is more likely to go after an 18-30 yrs old woman, if not younger, than a much older women. If all of the guys are going for younger women, obviously the older women don’t got much options and will take what they can get.
