I am dating an East Indian man, he is 28, average looks. I am 22 and white. He is a civil engineer and employed. I have been going out with him for the past six months. He is been nice to me and I want to take a relationship to the next level.
From what I have heard from my other friends and reading on the internet. Is indian men just date white women for prestige and sex. Is this true?. Are any white women out there who have had positive relationship with East indian men. Anyone married to them. As anyone been abused by them.

anyway sweetie, Its nothing to do with stereotypes.. Its very individualistic traits.. I am an Indian men who rather exclusively dates white/black women ( read western ) , not because of “prestige and sex” but because I love their attitude and thinking. I connect with them better than Indian women.. If I would have believed the stereotypes of white women I would have never dated one.. but I know more exceptions than the rule.. I have been love just once in my life that too with a white women.. She later cheated on me and friends jumped in to say “I told you so” ..Did it deter me.. NO.. I know more good white girls than bad ones. So don’t be skeptic just figure out where he is coming from and what are his plan.. I am 16 years younger than my husband and we both look our age. However, I don’t see the age difference at all - there are no father issues or anything - we just fell in love. We do argue like any other couple and we make up like any other couple. My husband has way less control issues than any of my ex boyfriends who were my age. I guess he had all the experience before he met me and doesn’t need to fight it anymore. And I don’t need to teach him anything about life and relationships.
We;ve been together for 6 years, married 4 and so far I have nothing to complain.

I really don’t think it is the age that matters - it is personalities.

I am a woman and I used on line dating services in the past.
I think you are right, if you are not interested , when contacted by a woman, you shouldn’t bother replying. Why waste time if you are not interested? It is absolutely fine not to write back..
If you want to be extra nice you can send a polite reply saying ‘No thanks’ . That’s fine too.
But if you are upset that women just ignore the men, and don’t bother replying to their emails, I can tell you that women registered with these services are usually ‘bombarded’ with emails from guys (there’s more men then women) and it’s kinda difficult to reply to each one.

I think a 4 to 5 year gap either way is ok. If you are adults. That way you are both still in the same generation.
