At what age did you get married? What age is “too young”? How long had you been dating before getting married?
At what age did you get married? Did you regret it? Where you old enough? What age do you think is “too young”? What age do you think is “too young”? How long did you know your husband/wife before getting married?
Lets see…my husband and I have been married for just about four years. We got married young - but it was well worth it.
I was 20 but my husband was 17 and I’vee never regretted getting married. We have children, a house, a good life, we have our problems and fight to the death about the dumbest shit, but at the end of the day it’s nice to have someone who’s on the same wave length as you. I think we could have waited a little longer. I originally wanted to wait until he was at least eighteen, but figured what was one more year anyway. I think to young is determined solely by the people in the relationship while some may be ready at sixteen others reach their forties before being ready. I knew my husband for about six months before we married. I met him in a laundry mat in the beginning of May and he hit on me while waving my undies around - long long story.

HELP!!! Any divorced man dating (long term) or married to a much younger woman?
I am 23 and am seeing a 40 year old. We get on really well but I’m in new territory, have never dated anyone who has been divorced or has kids.
I want to know about your experience dating or being married to a much younger woman.
What works?
What doesn’t?
Would you rather live together than get married again?
Would you have kids with your new partner?
How did her parents take it?
What made you decide to get married?
What made you decide to date her (long term)?
How did your kids take it?
If there is anyone out there who is dating a much younger woman, who wouldn’t mind me emailing them with additional questions regarding this topic please let me know. I would really appreciate it
Thanks in advance
jennfer here’s my experiences:
my 2nd wife was 20 when we married, i was 38. she was still a complete momma’s girl at heart. at first her parents were 100% behind the marriage because at the time they were about to file for divorce. 1 week after our marriage my dad passed away and my new bride wanted to know how much “we” inherited…my dad left everything to my mom as is usually normal. 4 weeks later her gramma passed away and left $90,000 to her dad….i say her dad because honestly her gramma’s will stated that if her son was dead at the time of her passing his wife received nothing…even her gramma knew what kind of a woman her mom was. her mom told her she could share in that money if she divorced me and told her husband to allow it or she’d divorce him and take that inheritance…less than a year later after constantly running home to mommy and daddy everytime they bought her something new including a vehicle in their name, she did file for divorce and in the process also tried suing my mom for what she and her atty called her part of my moms inheritance from my dad…and from what my atty told me, that was at her parents insistance.
oh and before anyone thinks i couldn’t support her and thats y she was running home when they bought her something, i was making a very high 5 figure income and she didn’t have to work (i was actually paying her college tuition so she could have a college degree at the time) and we were both driving less than 2yr old vehicles that were paid for…her parents bought her a brand new vehicle just so she could have something “newer” than what we had…call it a competetion of sorts with her parents.
my annulment wife was 24 and i was 43 when we married we dated 4 mths beforehand. we were only married 3 weeks and not even living together as she was finishing out a semester of college 2,000 miles away, when she informed me that the divorce decree she had received 3 months before said that neither party shall remarry except to each other for a period of 1 yr and didn’t want to lose custody of her son if her ex found out…which her parents were threatening to contact and tell him. this all after i had spent over $5,000 on her for her kids toys, a used car for her, plane tix, etc.
parents can definately cause trouble in any relationship, but in younger/older relationships it triples in trouble.
you as the younger part of the relationship must decide weather this is what you want or not and stick to your decision no matter what anyone says. i will tell you that as you are now 23, your wants and needs will change 100 times before you turn 40…a time when he’ll be 56…can YOU handle that…see it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks as no one can walk a mile in your shoes, its what you and your mate think/feel/want/believe that matters…its your lives to live not anyone elses.
good luck and GOD bless.
