dating questions to ask a man

What would are appropriate questions to ask mature man while dating?
I am interested in dating a man who is 55 years of age, he has his masters is recently retired and owns a consultant business. I will be 50 years of age have a high school diploma and currently still employed.
He has invited me to ask questions of him and for some unseen reason I am unable to ask questions of him. At times, he has mentioned he feels disappointed because he is interested in me and he no longer contacts me as often as once did. I do like this person and I do not want this person to lose all interest in me.
I have asked him the basic questions, if he ever married, do you have kids and pets, what are your likes and dislikes, and what do you like to do when he isn’t working. These are vague questions and I would like to ask him significant questions, and no other questions seem to come to mind to ask of him.
- The good thing about chemistry is that, you don’t need to plan the conversation. If you two are into each other, the conversation will flow on it’s own. Otherwise, I don’t have any suggestions.

dating time before marriage?
What is the average time people are in a relationship (dating) before they say “I do”?
do many couples live together..before getting married?
been together..4 years and 5 months…living together a year an 5 months.
Just wondering what is normal
You should get to know each other at least 3-5 years before marriage. Don’t forget you will be making a commitment to spend the rest of your life together, till death do you part.
You have to get to know that person inside and out, mentally, emotionally and physically. The ages should be late 20’s, early 30’s
Living together when you’re certain you’re going to get married is not a bad idea..

Should I start dating again? (divorce, kids, work ect.)?
Basically, me and my now-ex husband have Been divorced for 1 year and 4 months now. And well, I have 3 girls. A 9 year old (ellie), 7 year old (carla), and 3 year old (mia). I work as a family consultant, full time. I have time for kids, work, socialising eg. I was wondering if I should start dating. I mean my ex has a girlfriend and she’s pregnant. I’m not trying to get back at my ex. I’m just wondering if I should start dating.
I asked my eldest child. She said, that she’ll be OK if I start dating. But, she would like to get to know the guy. Also I asked my youngest girls. They understood a bit, they said yes and no at the same time.
Please help me………….Bye,
Lizz xoxo
You can start dating now, but I suggest meeting different guys for a casual coffee or something benign and discover yourself what it is you want and don’t want in a man. No need to introduce them to your girls (or your house for that matter) until you find the one with right chemistry for something deeper.
Just keep in mind that there are plenty of fish in the sea, and don’t settle with the first Joe to come along. You also have to rediscover yourself apart from your ex, you’re a new entity and you can change your role in life- don’t be a doormat if you were one before.

WARNING SIGNS about boyfriend and my daughter?
I’m dating a guy that I have known for 7 months. I have a 2 year old daughter. I am verrrrrrrry protective over here. I have read books and online articles about abuse towards children. Just wondering if anyone has had any personal experiences with this to share and/or warning signs a single mother should look for. thanks
P.S. I am looking for warning signs in ANYONE I date. not just him. He has only seen her 2 times and I was there. I don’t suspect him of anything. Just asking in general so I can keep my eyes open and be educated on the matter. thanks
Abusers are good at fooling people. There may not be any obvious signs. Try to get a sense of how he interacts with his family and that may give you a clue. My sister’s ex-bf was sexually abusive and showed many signs that she was blind to becasue she was so in “lust.” He touched excessively (not just children), he was extremely nice (too nice), and he just gave off a creepy feeling. Also, look for any signs of aggression or emotional abuse. He shouldn’t step right in and parent/discipline your daughter. He would have to grow into that role as you get more serious and he becomes part of the family. Have him around your friends and family. They often notice things you are blind to. Listen to them and trust your instincts. I wish more than anything that my sister had listened to my family’s warnings. However, don’t judge the poor guy unfairly. He may be a great guy that really wants to be a good influence in your daughter’s life. Give him a chance, but keep your eye out at the same time. Good luck.

I have a question for men who use online dating sites?
I’ve been trading emails with a guy on an online dating site all day. Now I’ve asked him to meet me and suddenly he stopped responding. Either he is not interested or he’s afraid to meet me. What can I say to him? Should I have waited for him to ask me?
Sometimes it simply is a matter of who got to him first. If he is simply “playing’ or now intrigued by the opportunities presented to him, you might be feeding his ego.
He might think he has “you” and it’s a sure thing, so he might be pursuing the ones that are “tougher to chase”.
Don’t be as eager because this guy could just be a new inductee to online dating. Wait for him to “catch” you. All of my male friends tell me they appreciate the chase… they don’t like it when it is too easy for them.

Have any of you in an interracial relationship experienced violence reactions b/c of it?
I can’t help but notice that the world’s views on interracial dating are changing. Yay! I am black and several of my cousins have interracial marriages. I’m so proud of my family, whether they had married within our race (black) or another race i think it really says something about how we have progressed. I’m just glad they are happy.
Anyways the threat of violence and hearing/reading stories about violent beatdowns and nasty comments directed at these couples while walking down the street leave me outraged! My female cousin and her (Caucasian) husband travel a lot and they STILL get the comments and the stares. but none of them have encountered violence. that would not stop me from marrying interracially if the man i love just happens to be anything other than black. i deserve to be happy.
So i wanted to know what you other interracial couples have experienced as far as stares, comments, and violence towards you?
I am white. My lady is black. We have been together for quite some time now. Although we live in the south, the city we live in is quite diverse and we have never had any real problems, other than an occasional stare. Interracial couples are quite common in our neck of the woods.
The closest we came to violence was one evening when we were coming out of an eatery, some good old boys in a truck drove by and yelled “n. . . . lover!’ at me. Since my lady and I are both veterans able to take care of ourselves, I (ahem) politely invited them to return for further discussion of our relationship. They withdrew in great haste.
I was thankful that I didn’t have to explain to the cops how my sweet lady had broken a couple of rednecks into small pieces and spread them around a parking lot.
Other than that, we have never had any problems.

Is this the best dating advice for men ever?
“Just be as rich and handsome as you can be…..if you have super high social status that will help to. If none of these things apply, then it really doesn’t matter what you do - it will still be a roll of the dice dependent on her first reaction of you, her mood, what’s going on in her life at the moment, and how horny she is….good luck.”
The Mrs - some genius I know….
Homer I agree with some of what you say (not the product pitches though). As a woman I would have to say some of those pick ups techniques would work soemtimes and othertimes they would not…it would fall under my umbrealla of what type of mood you cath her in…
Second best.
First is, Don’t date.
