Friend dating my ex girlfriend… Why does it bother me so much?

One of my best friends who i have known for a while, just recently started dating my ex-girlfriend. (we broke up 5 months ago)
He came to me and asked if it was ok (a few days after he hooked up with her) that they started dating because he “really likes this one.”
During our friend ship we made a strict pact to
1) not date friends ex’s
2) friendship with ex’s is acceptable but noting physical

I said that it was fine with me that they started dating but i am disappointed in him for breaking the pact. I told him that “I want them both to be happy” but I actually hate them being together. I know i’m selfish but in a while he’ll be looking for something new and she’ll be heartbroken..
He is now aware of my negative feelings of them being together but believes “that the feelings will pass.” Why can’t i help but think that he’s done this before to others?

Why does it bother me so much.?
Am I being selfish and unreasonable?

i dont think you’re being unreasonable..friends should never go out with a friends ex, ESPECIALLY if yall made a promise with eachother. so i think you’re feelings are completely normal, cuz id be upset too:)

What would you do if you went on a date and the person you were dating kept talking about killing themself?

I actually sorta brought this up in a previous question but not so straight to the point.

You’re on a date and the person you’re with keeps saying, “I want to kill myself.”

She was all over me and those were the last words she said to me.

It was a while ago but very weird.

I did like her… :-/

I’d start by trying to contact her family and ask if they know she’s suicidal. If they are unconcerned, contact administrators at her school and ask who else should be notified. Certainly close friends of hers should be told she’s dangerous to herself and they should watch her to see if she tries anything.
When a person says she wants to kill herself, it is not a casual statement and should not be brushed off. Try to contact her family now if you know where they live or how to contact them.

So he and I just started dating and is this going too fast?

We started “officially dating” on Saturday, but we’ve been “talking” for 3 weeks.
Thursday we went to a movie and afterwords he walked me to my car and kissed(it was a peck) me on the lips and hugged me.
Saturday I went to the fair with him and afterwords we sat on his porch and soon started to make out.

We are both 18, going to be in college.
Did we go a little fast? I mean, when I got uncomfortable and I let him know I was, he completely stopped.

We’re both going to the same college, and he’s not afraid to hold my hand in front of his buddies, and since Saturday we still talk every day (we won’t see each other for about 9 more days), and we have a lot in common.

It is only going too fast if you are uncomfortable with it. It sounds like he’s very good with boundaries and respecting your pace. I think it’s fine! Sounds like the beginning of something great x]

What are the laws regarding 18-year-olds (and up) dating minors in Indiana?

I’ve heard of these laws before and am really beginning to wonder (I have a few friends in this situation; the guy I like is 18 & we want to make sure it’s not illegal). I can’t find any information ANYWHERE, and I have only heard brief mentions of these laws. Any help?

There are laws in place in regards to dating minors. They just changed one I believe, to get accurate ages, you want to go to www.in.gov….go to law justice then state statutes. You will then go to criminal law which is 31- , look under child molest, sexual misconduct with a minor, that should help you. The two ages are the important part.
