christianity a lie?raised catholic im now finding the bible nonsense,esp genisis. Help!?

If you find the beginning of a story false then surely the rest must be also.Here is what i mean with what i know.
adam was first living being = dinosaurs lived long before man.
world and universe created within seven days = moon rock carbon dated hundred and fifty million years younger than earth.
eves first three chrildren were male,cane, abel and seth =
before seth was born cane had a wife and child,where did the wife come from??
The bible tells us the earth is 6.5 thousand years old = we know it to be millions.
The great flood(noahs ark) = there is no doubt the flood happened but the story of the ark was first found on the stone tablets of an ancient religon which no longer exists the tablets were dated as 2 thousand years before christianity.
these are a few of the questions that eat at my faith and make me believe more and more in evolution.
I once asked a priest about my thoughts but i found his answer totaly unacceptable, just have faith the bible is a guideline only.

i grew up methodist, not catholic i know…but, i went through the exact same thing. only difference for me is that i’m a chick, and have you noticed all the chick bashing stuff in there? i totally couldnt accept that i had a period because of eve tricking adam and that women are all sinners etc etc. i personally think the bible is nothing more than a conglomeration of many mens attempt at controlling the masses. I believe in God and firmly consider myself to be devout in my christian beliefs. Todays organized religion and the ridiculous mockery called a bible I believe is nothing of God and not what He would want. Don’t blame God for the bible, nobody has ever claimed He wrote it. The fault lies with the people who wrote it, translated, re translated, and decided which parts to be in it and which parts to cut out.
