I was just watching tv about a ‘in the dark’ dating show and the chinese girl said when the light flashed on for a second

“oh god, I think he’s ginger?!?!”

Could you imagine if the guy had seen the flash and said “oh god, she’s chinese!”

Why do you think that it is socially acceptable to slag off some things but others can cause public outrage?

It’s really not socially acceptable to be prejudiced, but I know what you mean; some situations cause much more uproar. I’ve never heard of this discrimination against “gingers” until the last year or two and I’m a 30-year-old “ginger” with freckles. I guess I’m lucky that form of ignorance isn’t common where I live.
