15 dating a 17 year old. Opinions from parents?

I’m 15 years old and my boyfriend is 17. My parents won’t let him drive me anywhere (i.e. school events, track practice, band practice, friends’ houses, movies, etc.). I would like answers from parents to see if you think they are being reasonable. I’m having a lot of tension with my parents about many things so if you would like to help me through them, please say so in your reply because I would like to talk to you.

im not a parent but i had a boyfriend when i was 15 so i guess i can still share my thoughts.

im 25 now and my puppy love lasted for 9 years. do the math… were no longer together though…anyway…

number 1, i feel your pain… i understand that because of your parents’ resistance, tension is building up. the thing is, parents would always be parents. the reason why they probably dont let your guy take you for a ride is because they dont trust the guy.. atleast, not yet… you dont have to fight them. respect their opinion and at the same time, you dont have to refrain yourself from doing what you want…as long as it is responsible and reasonable. besides if your guy really respects you, he would most definitely respect the boundaries set by the people who gave you life right? eventually, when your parents see that your relationship with your man is not a hindrance for you to be a better person, they would eventually yield and let you guys do what ever you please.
