how old is too old dating

Is a 17 year old dating a 21 year old too big of an age difference?

I want every body’s opinion on this. I am 17 and have known this guy since I was like 5. We aren’t even planning on dating but people seem to think he’d be too old for me if we ever did. What do you think?

4 years isn’t that big of a gap but when you’re only 17 it isn’t the greatest idea either. what does a 21 year old man want with a 17 year old girl? seriously. it’s good that you’ve known him for a while and the maturity levels kind of even out but i still think he’s too old for you. maybe in a few years it wouldn’t be so bad.
