cheap dating ideas for couples

What are some fun, cheap date ideas for a married couple on a low budget? We live in Orange County, CA.?
I’m not sure about there, but some ideas from where I live might work, if you can find similar places:
There is an indoor mini-golf that is glow in the dark. It is loads of fun, and lots of adults go, especially in the evening. There is a also a second run cinema here, that charges $4.25 for movies ($3 for kids anytime, and for matinees before 6pm). The movies are after the main theatres, but before they come out on video. Also a great way to see a movie you are not sure you will like. If you do - great! If not, well, it’s only a few bucks.
Picnics are fun, especially in a nice park, or on a beach. Some museums can be very inexpensive, even free. They are often smaller, local ones, but some of them are really good.
Driving around the richest part of town, and comparing houses can be good. Pointing out houses you’d never want to own because of some flaw is fun. Like you’d ever own a multi-million dollar house anyway!
A weird one, but one that I’ve heard about is to do something together for the community. Like, volunteering to serve a meal at a soup kitchen. It makes you appreciate each other a lot more, does good, and costs you nothing.
How about an inexpensive, but exotic restaurant? Like some cuisine you’ve never tried before. Like Thai, Indian, Vietnamese…. whatever you can find, but not in a very fancy place.
How about a games party? More of a party rather than a date, but invite a bunch of friends over to play the games you used to play when you were kids - Monopoly, Mouse Trap, or whatever you have.
Can you tell I’m cheap? I’ve done pretty much all of the above!
Good luck to you.
