How do you find online dating (please answer)?

For some info, I’m 24, attractive (been told I’m around a 7-8), and fun to be around (or so ppl say). But I’m having no luck meeting single girls, every girl I know is in a relationship and every new girl I meet also seems to have a bf. I’m thinking about trying to meet a girl online but I have some reservations about it. I mean I haven’t heard many good things, either ppl aren’t honest about themselves or that the guy to girl ratio is like 100:1. What do you think? Have you ever tried it, and what were your thoughts? And what are some good sites to try (I live in Canada just so you know)? Thanks.
